Today is Day 4 of the 6-Day Cycle

  • Varsity Girls won 74-39 on Friday night against Ed-Co. The JV girls took a tough loss. We were down to 5 girls in the 2nd half, the girls gave all they had but the tank was getting empty in the 4th! The Varsity moved their record to 12-2 and 8-2 in Conference play.
  • District Speech – Both of our improv groups (Ben Hesner, Sam Cook, and Chase Fults) (Owen Griswold, Maya Huegel, Talan Shah-Crow) had difficult draws for situations but tried their best to make the most of them. Despite their best efforts, both improv groups received ratings of 2s and will not advance to state. Our TV news group (Maya Huegel, Owen Griswold, Talan Shah-Crow, Ben Hesner, Harmony Walker) did an excellent job but also received a 2, and some constructive feedback, and did not advance to state. Our short film group (Delainey Decker and Ella Dorman), however, received a 1! They also got a glowing review from their judge and will be our only group advancing to state in Decorah on February 5th. I am so incredibly proud of these amazing kids and all their hard work. We learned a few things and will take them and run with them next year. Until then, please congratulate Delainey and Ella and wish them luck at state in a few weeks!
