Today is Day 5 of the 6-Day Cycle

  • On Friday, the 8 person East Buchanan Mock Trial team traveled to Waterloo for the regional competition. We were one of four schools to compete in our region and by far the team with the least experience. Our first competition was against a team from Robins that has state and national competition experience and were very polished. We competed well against them but came up short on the judges ballots. Then we went against another school with state competition experience and we also came up short on the judges ballots. Maya Huegel and Talan Shah-Crow were recognized for their performances by different judges. We learned a lot about how Mock Trial works and how we could improve. It was a good experience for the students but very difficult. They have to get out of their comfort zone to participate. The following students were part of the team this year: Lexie Mundschenk, Maya Huegel, Talan Shah-Crow, Coltyn Torres, Keegan Wilgenbusch, Isabelle Dolan, Becca Graham, and Owen Griswold.
  • If you are bringing a guest to Prom that does not attend East Buchanan, please pick up the dance guest form in the office.
